Brendan's Dominate in Pre Season Win

Following their narrow victory away at Broad Plain the week before, St Brendan's were looking to put on a strong performance in their first home game of the 2017 campaign against BAC, which took place on the 24th August.

After a week to reflect on their first test of the year, The Saints looked calm and confident to begin the game. Another word to crop up for the second week running, Brendan's were playing fast.

The starting XV played the entirety of the first half, notching up 4 try's against the visitors. Try scorers were Ben Johnson, Joe Rogers, Iain McFarnon and Ed Boxhall, making way for replacements to see the game out, playing the whole of the second half.

There were some outstanding performances, particularly in the backs, seeing Ed Boxhall score another 2 try's, along with Mike Battersby scoring one, and a huge penalty try created by the forwards following complete dominance in the scrum.

The final score was 50-0 setting Brendan's up for a great run heading in to the first games of the season.

The 2XV host Cleve 2XV on the 2nd September, while the 1XV don't play until the 9th September, where they will be away at Bredon Star.
