Great game of rugby
Positive passing game
The other squad played at home against Cirencester ( Unbeaten all season) in the Gloucester Cup.
In what was a terrific game of rugby played by both sides in a great atmosphere. St Brendans had to show their full range of skills.
We came out of the blocks quickly and scored 2 great tries. We used the space of the large pitch and passed the ball from all areas of the field. Cirencester slowly came back into the game and their pressure resulted in a try. The boys heads did not go down and we scored again.
From the sidelines it was quite nervy and we felt more comfortable with a two try buffer. We told the boys to keep passing and move the opposition around . We conceded a penalty try which was a first and this again concentrated the boys minds.
We eventually ran out 7 tries to 3 winners. All our tries were fantastic. Stan scored 2 tries with great strength, Kian scored , Gwil, Felix, Harry Yeo and Jonathan got the others.
It was a great squad performance but Harry Yeo and Gwil were immense in attack and defence.
Cirencester were a strong side and it was a good test for the boys. Their parents and coaches were very complimentary about our style of play and ball handling skills.
